CLUB
RULES
1. Tournament contestants must fish as teams. Teams having an
alternate angler must use alternate for entire season.
2. Thirty dollars
($30) is required as dues and must be paid at first event.
3. Regular season
entry fees are fifty dollars ($50).
4. All tournaments
require six (5) fish limits of twelve (12) inches or longer (with
required permits).
5. Top three
(3) positions and largest bass receive prize money.
6. Invited guests
who request to become members will require a vote from club.
7. Top ten (10)
teams in regular season point standings will be invited to the Classic.
Teams must have fished seven (7) regular season events to qualify.
8. Anglers of
the Year (AOY) will be determined by season long points race thru
the first nine (9) tournaments. If tie, season long weight accumulation
will break the tie.
9. An individual
tournament angler must follow state and waiver regulations.
10. A team that
is unable to fish a tournament may pay entry fee for the tournament
to receive points for the event. Points will be two (2) points less
than the last place finishers in that tournament. Fee must be paid
prior to the end of the event.
11. Po Boys
Bass Club is limited to twenty five boats (25). A vote must be made
by club to extend club size.
END OF REGULAR
SEASON: THE CLASSIC
1. Field consists
of top ten (10) point leaders for regular season.
2. Classic entry fee is fifty-five ($55) dollars per day per team.
One hundred ($100) dollars to Big Fish paid each day.
3. Classic payouts will be determined at the end of the second days
event.
REGULAR SEASON
POINTS SYSTEM AND WEIGH-IN RULES:
1. First place
in tournament receives 110 points then 2 points less for each place
going back.
2. If no fish
are caught but team competes, team will receive two points less
then the lowest team with fish.
3. Three points
bonus for Big Fish
4. Teams must
check in at weigh-in to receive points
5. If you have
no fish still check-in
6. Late penalties
for scheduled weigh-in will include the reduction of one (1) pound
per minute up to ten minutes. After ten (10) minutes team will be
disqualified.
7. Due to boat
failure, one member of your team can go with another team to weigh-in
fish.
8. Dead fish
will penalize team four (4) ounces per dead fish. No fish that looks
to be mangled will be weighed.
9. Short fish
penalty will result in the loss of short fish and largest fish.
Teams weighing in more than six (6) fish will be penalized biggest
fish.
MISCELLANEOUS
RULES:
1. All teams
must have required state regulated equipment including; kill switch,
life jackets, lights, signaling device, throw float etc.
2. Life jackets
must be worn when boat is on plane. No exceptions.
3. Boats are
required to arrive 30 minutes before take-off to have boat inspected.
4. Boats flights
will be determined by drawing prior to tournament
5. Tournament
director will determine blast off during safelight conditions, hazardous
conditions, etc.
6. Teams must
remain 50 yards from any team anchored. With trolling motor up.
7. Artificial
baits only. No bait is allowed if it was once alive. No trolling
allowed as presentation for your bait.
8. Anglers are
only allowed to fish with one fish rod combination at a time.
9. Any rule
violation and/or objection to an event that occurs during a tournament
will be for the tournament director to judge. The tournament directors
decision is final.
AWARDS
- First (1st),
second (2nd) and third (3rd) place anglers of the year will receive
trophies/plaques
- First (1st),
second (2nd) and third (3rd) place anglers at the classic will
receive trophies trophies/plaques
- Treasury
will be emptied at the end of the year banquet and will be split
between the top three places at the classic. Treasure will be
cleared of all money
- Angler of
the year (AOY) receives all membership fees and dues paid for
following year.
